Looking to add a splash of vibrant colour and crunch to your garden and table? Cherry Belle Radish Seeds are the perfect choice for gardeners of all levels. Known for their bright red skin and crisp white flesh, these radishes are a fast-growing, cool season crop that’s easy to cultivate. Enjoy a harvest in as little as 22-30 days, making them ideal for quick, successive planting throughout the season.

Radishes don’t need much space to grow, so are great for using as an intercrop between other vegetables that take longer to grow, such as beans, peas and sweetcorn. Sow using a cloche during early February, or straight outside in March through August. Harvest 3-4 weeks after sowing.

SOW: Plant radish seeds directly into your garden or containers as soon as the soil is workable in early spring (or for a fall crop, in late summer). Radishes are very forgiving and can be sown multiple times throughout the growing season for a continuous harvest.

HARVEST: Cherry Belle radishes mature very quickly—usually within 22 to 30 days after sowing. Harvest them when the roots are crisp and about 1.5 to 2.5cm in diameter to ensure the best texture and flavour.

LIGHT: Full Sun: Radishes thrive with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. They can also tolerate light partial shade, which might be beneficial in very warm climates.

WATERING: Keep the soil evenly moist throughout the growing period. Water lightly every day or every other day, depending on your climate, to avoid soil drying out. Ensure good drainage to prevent the roots from becoming waterlogged, which can lead to pithy radishes.

SOIL: Use a light, well-draining, sandy or loamy soil enriched with organic matter (such as compost). The soil should be loose and free from compaction to allow the radish roots to expand easily.

PLANT SIZE: When mature, Cherry Belle radishes typically form small, round roots about 1.5 to 2.5cm in diameter with a crisp texture and mild, peppery flavour.

TOP TIP: We recommend sowing small amounts regularly through the Spring and Summer for regular crops that can be eaten at their best. Keep plants well-watered to prevent roots from splitting, especially during dry periods.
