Achieve gardening success with our Moneymaker Tomato Seeds, a classic and highly dependable variety loved by gardeners and growers for generations. Known for its round, smooth, and medium-sized fruits, Moneymaker tomatoes boast a well-balanced flavour that’s perfect for salads, sauces, and cooking. This classic variety produces consistently high yields, ensuring a plentiful harvest throughout the growing season for you to enjoy.

Tomatoes need fertile, well-drained soil and work best grown in a greenhouse or outside in a sunny, sheltered spot in large pots or grow bags. Sow indoors from February to April, harvest from July to October.

SOW: Start your seeds indoors about 6–8 weeks before the last expected frost—typically in February or early March (depending on your region). Transplant your seedlings outdoors once the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed up (usually late April to May).

HARVEST: Moneymaker tomatoes typically take around 70–90 days from transplanting to reach maturity. You can begin harvesting in mid-summer (around July) and expect a continuous crop through early autumn as the plants keep producing fruit.

LIGHT: Tomatoes thrive in full sun—ensure your plants receive at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight per day to promote vigorous growth and abundant fruiting.

WATERING: Water deeply once or twice a week, ensuring the soil stays evenly moist. In hot, dry weather, you might need to water more frequently—just be sure to avoid waterlogging by allowing excess water to drain away.

SOIL: Plant in a rich, well-draining loamy or sandy-loam soil enriched with plenty of organic matter (such as compost or well-rotted manure).

PLANT SIZE: Moneymaker tomato plants typically grow as vigorous, indeterminate vines that can reach about 1.5 to 2 meters in height if not pruned or staked.

TOP TIP: Pick tomatoes before the first frost. If your tomatoes are still green at this point, leave on a warm windowsill for them to ripen there.

DISH TO TRY: Chilled Moneymaker Tomato Gazpacho – delicious!
